Graduate Studies

The Office of Graduate Studies oversees the more than 70 master's programs and 18 doctoral programs at PSU; over 1,500 graduate degrees are awarded annually. We are the principal resource for students and faculty regarding advanced degree requirements, degree status, petition procedures, thesis and dissertation preparation, and final oral examinations. The office monitors the academic standing of admitted graduate students and the eligibility of graduate assistants. Students admitted to the graduate programs who wish to graduate must submit required documentation to our office within the stated guidelines for each term.

2010-2011 Graduate Scholarships - On-line Application NOW OPEN!
October 19, 2009

Beginning on October 19, 2009, the on-line Graduate Scholarship Application will be available at the Scholarship Manager website. The deadline for submitting this application is April 16, 2010.

The different areas on campus included in this scholarship application are: the Office of Gradaute Studies, School of Business Administration, Graduate School of Education, College of Urban and Public Affairs, the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the University Studies Mentor scholarship. A change to this year's application process is that transcripts are no longer required!

Group Therapy - New Graduate Student Group

The Center for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) will be offering group counseling for graduate students. The Graduate Student Group will meet during Fall term on Tuesdays, either at 3pm or 4pm (time is flexible depending on student availability). New Graduate Assistant (GA) Orientation - Friday, September 25th
September 22, 2009

There will be an orientation for new GA's on Friday, September 25, 2009, in the Multicultural Center (228 Smith Memorial Student Union) from 8:30 AM to 12:00 noon. All students who have a new GA position are strongly encouraged to come, as valuable information (including rules for GAs, status requirments, library services, etc.) will be shared by different administrators across campus. For the last hour, students will have the opportunity to visit a number of information tables.

The orientation will start promptly at 8:30 AM, so don't be late! We hope to see all of you new GA's there!
